Richard Neutra (1892-1970), best known for his California houses, designed one house in Washington,DC in a park like setting, for Ann and Donald Brown (1968). It is also supposedly the last house he did in the U.S. before he moved to Germany. More recently, Heather Cass,FAIA did an addition to the house.
Richard’s son, Dion was his last partner, continues the firm and fights to preserve his father’s projects. Richard Neutra’s Gettysburg Visitors Center was demolished this year by the National Park Service.
