Woodrow Wilson’s last home

In 1921, the incapacitated President and his wife retired from the White House a dozen or so blocks north to the Kalorama section and this house on S St. The Wilsons were the second owners of this 1915 Waddy Wood designed house and while there is not a house on the right side it was obviously designed to be a row house.  This dignified classical revival structure, with attractive rear garden, fits in with the other early 20th century houses on the block and the character of the neighborhood, one of the finest residential areas in the city.
