Attention to detail

On the grounds of the U.S. Capitol,the 19th century lampposts were works of art, with Art Nouveau detailing.  Modern lampposts along any street any where in the US are utilitarian, stamped out posts,lacking any detailing,therefore,any lack of scale or soul.
